My Legal Career
Having completed my training contract at a medium-sized litigation firm in London called Edward Lewis (now disbanded) I qualified into its company/commercial department.
After getting a solid grounding in commercial law in private practice, I decided to combine my passion for sport by becoming an in-house lawyer for Sky Sports (part of FTSE 100 company BSkyB).
After 4.5 years at Sky my itchy feet took me to Australia, where I worked as an in-house legal consultant at a national pay-TV company in Sydney.
My Recruitment Experience
Throughout my own legal career, I had responsibility for the recruitment of trainee solicitors and qualified lawyers at various levels.
This experience, coupled with my own experience of job hunting, convinced me there was a need for some high quality law careers advice and coaching targeted specifically to lawyers at the various stages of their careers.
Post-Lawyer
After my time in Australia I decided to make a lifestyle and career change.
I moved to Manchester to pursue a variety of my own business projects relating to property, marketing and coaching.
In the law careers space, I have provided one to one career coaching to lawyers since 2009. I have also formed the Legal Careers Group and built the popular Trainee Solicitor Surgery website and social media community.
